Professors Yael Grushka-Cockayne and Casey Lichtendahl explain their method to sharpen forecasts critical to businesses or economists, such as company sales or profits, GDP growth or inflation rates. They propose a new way to combine individual probability forecasts. The combined forecast offers improved accuracy by trimming the pool of opinions collected.
